When traveling, look up and visit a fancy yarn store (or two!). Not only do you get to support a local business, they’re often located in less touristy areas of town so you can see where real people live. Yarn store employees are also super friendly and have great recommendations for restaurants, cafes, or bars nearby. And of course you get a useful souvenir that will remind you of your trip when you knit with it and when you wear your FO!
